Title Mobile Research: Five Ways To Collect Data Using Mobile Devices
Author Conry, S.
Year 2008
Access date 11.06.2009
Abstract

Wireless mobile devices will have an impact on marketing research comparable to that of the Internet. This workshop will show attendees what mobile research options are available today and when to use which type. Attendees will gain hands on experience with three types of self-complete mobile surveys: The Experience-Driven Opinion Push, the Electro-Ethno, or EthnoMob and the Anytime, Anywhere Interrupt. During the workshop, attendees will design a mobile survey, which will be administered during the conference. Together, workshop attendees will determine the direction for the mobile research study and will receive full access to the data collected. By the end of the learning session, attendees will be able to differentiate the different mobile research methods and technologies, know when it's appropriate to use mobile research techniques and find a partner. Attendees will also walk way with an understanding of the mobile respondent experience, and be able to write questionnaires appropriately for the various types of mobile surveys.
